I processed a few rolls of film today from my trip to Portland. Just fun pictures taken with my Holga while walking around (great camera for traveling, no one would EVER steal it).
Walking by the river past the fountain...
Kids playing at the traditional Chinese garden...
I was in Portland, OR this week for OSCON, an open source software conference. I brought a Holga and shot a few rolls but just got home and haven't processed it yet.
On the one day that I managed to get downtown and out of the conference center I started in Chinatown. This picture is through the window of a typical import-good store, but right there with the Buddha's and jade dragons was a funny little Bruce Lee figurine.
After Bruce I stopped in at Portland's traditional Chinese garden; a wonderful spot to observe and contemplate. Just a couple of pictures because my little digital camera doesn't do it justice.
Finally, the defining image from my trip to Portland... Everyday at OSCON Matt walked around with a new tray of homemade fudge handing it out. It took me till the third day to realize that this was a soft pedal marketing effort (and a great way to meet people). It was a fun and thought provoking week punctuated by delicious fudge.
